Leah Neese was born & raised in Houston, Texas. A few years back, Ms. Neese made a life change: she changed jobs, packed up, and moved out of the city to Chambers County, Texas into her great-grandparents' little farmhouse. The property has been in her family since the 1800's. Ms. Neese set up shop as the local psychotherapist and psychotherapist at the local hospital.

Being a city girl, Ms. Neese decided to try her hand at gardening. She prided herself in putting together a small/medium garden area & planting a variety of items. Lo and behold, Ms. Neese made a classic city girl mistake: half of what she planted died because it was under shade!

Despite her initial gardening faux pas, Ms. Neese hit the gardening jackpot with a plethora of cucumbers, okra, and jalapeños. She ate what she could, and gave away the rest. Ms. Neese decided to start researching family cookbooks & canning websites, and educating her on the canning process. Family, friends, & co-workers became taste testers. Ms. Neese was quickly encouraged to begin selling her products. Alas, In a Pickle, LLC was born!

While Ms. Neese continues to maintain a successful counseling private practice, she is also pleased to serve as the Program Coordinator for the Domestic Violence/Special Victims Unit at the Baytown Police Department.
